IC 2149 is a very small and rarely imaged planetary Nebula in the constellation of Auriga. It has been imaged by my friend S. Brunier at C2PU observatory with the 1m RC. He used his Nikon 810 A DSLR and I processed the images. 100 x 20 sec and 500 x 1sec.

Object Name IC 2149. IC 2149 is a small, bright planetary nebula with something to offer in telescopes of all sizes. At low magnification IC 2149 appears as just another 11th magnitude star, although experienced observers may be able to recognize something odd about it's color. At magnifications higher than 120x a tiny, elongated disk becomes apparent, surrounding IC 2149 (PK 166+10.1) Planetary Nebula in Auriga Located at: RA 05 hours 56 minutes 24 seconds, Dec +46 degrees 06 minutes 15 seconds Size: 34" x 29" (15" x 10") Magnitude: 11.2 photographic Class: 3b+2 This object is a tiny planetary nebula located 3600 light years away in the constellation of Auriga at a declination of +46 degrees. The 10.7 magnitude nebula spans 20 arc-seconds in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 1/3 light year. It is about the same apparent size as Saturn.
